Apple Blossom /Apple Harvest Driving Tour - Drive the rural countrysides mid April until May for a view of beautiful spring blossoms. Bicycling Henderson County - There are 184 miles of bicycle routes crisscrossing the county, showcasing the area's best curvy and hilly routes with some challenging climbs. The map can be downloaded at www.ncdot.org/transit/bicycle


Dogwood Trail Walking/Driving Tour - The Dogwood Trail tour begins at the Visitors Information Center and meanders through 23 miles of beautiful spring blossoms, historic sites and lovely neighborhoods. The self-guided tour will take about two hours to complete. The best time of year to view dogwoods in bloom is mid April. Forest Heritage National Scenic Byway - is the first National Forest Scenic Byway in North Carolina.   Traversing the Pisgah National Forest, the 79 mile loop winds its way through areas of outstanding natural beauty rich in forest history.   There are many recreational opportunities along the byway.
